Dreams Do Come True, The Deepwood Foundation, in partnership with the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities/Deepwood, celebrated the opening of the Clark Family Activity and Learning Center on September 28, 2021. The All-Inclusive Accessible Playground and Learning Center is located at Broadmoor School. The new inclusive playground accommodates all students so that All Kids Can Play.
The project has been so well received that it will continue to grow. Construction of Phase 3 will begin in Spring 2022. Planned to be a recreational concourse it will contain an expansive shelter complete with outdoor kitchen. Activities such as a water mister, zip line, adapted basketball court and swings to accommodate older students and adults will be included.
